biosphere

Biosphere 2 is located in Oracle, Arizona and the glass and steel structure dominates the landscape. It encompasses five biomes, rainforest, ocean, savanna, desert and marsh. It is a learning, teaching and research center for determining an ecosystem's ability to recycle air, water and nutrients in order to sustain plant and animal life.
